Alex Ramos is ill

Image
Since forming the Retired Boxers Foundation in 1995, proudly serving as the non-profit organization’s president since day one, Alex Ramos has devoted his life to helping his fellow retired boxers in need. Hundreds of phone calls each year come into the home of former USBA middleweight champion Alex Ramos. Most are from current or retired boxers that have fallen on hard times. Many of these calls from Alex’s boxing brothers can’t or won’t even be followed up with a "thank-you" call after receiving that much desired help, yet one thing is for sure…all these calls will be answered. Now Alex Ramos has fallen ill, and needs our prayers. sports books | spirituality books

Tom Brady the Priest

Image
Did you know Tom Brady was a priest of the new responsibility? Check out this month's Esquire : "Look at the attention I get: It's because I throw a football. But that's what society values. That's not what God values. God could give a shit, as far as I'm concerned. He didn't invent the game. We did. I have some eye-hand coordination, and I can throw the ball. I don't think that matters to God." But, he's reminded, the guys you play with routinely state that God does care. "Maybe," Tom Brady says, "but that's not the way I feel. It's a game, man. I have a hell of a lot of fun playing it, don't get me wrong. And it's very competitive and very stimulating. And that's why I do it. But we invented this game." This is what inspired the guys at epiccarnival to putting together a list of the TOP 10 THINGS THAT GOD VALUES IN TOM BRADY . sports books | spirituality books

Oh and by the way: James has already had his political baptism by fire. # 6 Allyson Felix , U.S., Sprints She's the ideal savior — young and telegenic, with a smile as wide as a hurdle. She's participating in a pilot program, Project Believe, in which athletes undergo extensive blood and urine analyses that go beyond the World Anti-Doping Agency's guidelines. If Felix is doping, you might just as well put down the starting guns for good. # 7 Shawn Johnson , U.S., Gymnastics She's the Muse of the Mats, texting poems with lines like these: "You remember the struggles and pain you had When all the good had turned to bad When behind the sce...
