Trinity Laterals

Maybe you think Trinity is incomprehensible, but what Trinity University came up with in this SCAC title game is definitely unbelievable. The players themselves cannot but kneel down after that touchdown to pray.

Sporting TopVerses

Image is a new online tool that lets you search the Bible by keyword and sorts the results by verse popularity. The most sporting Bible Verse , 1 Corinthians 9:24, unfortunately just ranks 1135 out of 31,101 verses. That's a oxymoron because it says: "Don't you know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run like that, that you may win." via

How NOT to promote Christianity

Sam Alipour features an in-depth interview on Paul Byrd's struggle to walk with God. Yard Barker believes Paul Byrd's buying drugs while trying to walk with Jesus as a major league ballplayer does not promote Christianity. Is there a heavenly pardon for steroid abuse? - With sports bloggers there is none!

DeShawn's New Tattoo

Great fuss about DeShawn's New Tattoo. Gilbert Arenas assesses: "That's the name you represent. When you're done in the NBA it's still your uniform: this is who you are, this is your time and your place." So now thus says the Lord , he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: "Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine." But, hey, that's just about given names. Mr. Stevenson better had DeShawn tatooed to his back. via

Cardiovascular Bible Training

Mary Fairchild posted a review of the GoBible : "My very favorite feature of the GoBible is the 'Hear in a Year' program. It's a 'Bible in a Year' listening plan that takes you through the entire Bible in 365 days. I really enjoy listening to the Bible while I walk for exercise. In fact, I've been listening on my iPod for about a year now. But the one draw back is there's no real system for keeping track of my progress through the Bible, and I have felt like I was just wandering through the Word aimlessly. However, now that I have the GoBible's daily program, it's so easy to stay on task while I walk. Each daily segment is divided into 12-15 minutes of listening and incorporates a variety of passages from both the Old and New Testament. Having this simple method to track my progress is a real motivator, both for listening and walking!"

Journey Into the Mind of a Sports Blogger

To find out more about who sports bloggers are and what motivates them, Ballhype asked bloggers to fill out an online survey . 135 surveys were completed July 23 – 28, 2007, providing a great set of data points with which to work, especially considering sports bloggers comprise a relatively small segment of bloggers as a whole. Like any other bloggers sports bloggers first of all are blog readers. John Karalis from RedsArmy says: "I'm online all day long... and I'm always just checking back in to see if anything has popped. Thank God for the RSS feed." Morgan admits: "I normally write my blog while I'm at work, so I’m pretty much stealing from my boss." That's the way Basketball God's Diaries come into being. Erin , next time I'd love to learn a little more about sports bloggers' religious affiliations as well. Thanks.
